04.08.2009 SAP OGSD Goes Live at Aral Direkt Implico Optimizes Sales and Distribution of Mineral Oil BusinessAral Direkt GmbH, a subsidiaryof Deutsche BP AG based in Hamburg, Germany, now processes all of their commercial transactions with SAP OGSD (SAP Oil and Gas Secondary Distribution). Within only 11 months, the Implico Group implemented the industry-specific SAP enhancement in a close co-operation with Aral Direkt.
Aral Direkt directly supplies their customers with fuel products and lubricants. Furthermore, the Aral fuel card is supplying trucks and busses on the road. The employees at the eight sales locations can now master this logistical challenge using one standard solution: SAP OGSD.
The solution, developed by Implico and distributed by SAP, is used by the employees for order entry as well as data collation and accounting. At the same time, they are provided with a consistent, standardized overview of the customers and their complete order history. Another benefit is that customer data is entered only once, thereby avoiding duplications that had been a problem in the replaced legacy system.
